About
Nina Samimi has been fitting wedding gowns since 1977.
Not a shop with a rotating bench of seamstresses. One woman, fifty years, and a very long line of Atlanta brides.

Four decades inside Atlanta’s bridal industry
Nina has spent most of her career on the other side of the counter from the bride, working with the bridal salons that dress metro Atlanta, including Bridal Sense, Wedding Angels and Bride Beautiful. When a salon sells a gown that needs to become something else, or a gown arrives with a problem, someone has to actually solve it. That has been Nina’s job for most of her working life.
That background is the reason she is unbothered by gowns other shops decline. Fully beaded bodices, structured corsetry, cathedral trains, sixty-year-old silk. None of that is an unusual request to her. It is Tuesday.
Why one pair of hands matters
In most alterations businesses your gown is passed along: one person pins it, another sews it, and whoever is on the counter hands it back. Details go missing in those handoffs, and the person who understood what you wanted is often not the person holding the scissors.
Nina does not work that way. She fits your gown, she alters your gown, and she is the one who gives it back to you. If something is not right at the second fitting, you are talking to the person who made the decision, not relaying a message to her.
Honesty about what a dress can do
Fifty years is long enough to know exactly what is possible, and long enough to say plainly when something is not. If a gown cannot come in three sizes without the lace pattern breaking, or an heirloom’s fabric is too fragile to take a new seam, you will be told at the first fitting rather than discovering it late.
The same applies to price. You get a quote when Nina can see the gown on you and knows what is inside the seams. Nothing is cut and nothing is charged before you have agreed to it.
The studio
Nina works by appointment from Roswell Road in Sandy Springs, minutes from GA-400 and I-285. Appointments are private and unhurried. Your fitting is not shared with three other brides in the same room, and nobody is rushing you out of the dress.

Photographs speak more clearly than a biography. The gallery has recent gowns, veils and restyling projects.
